The Barista distinct coffee blend – a medium-dark roast blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans from Africa’s recognised coffee producing regions – offers the ideal espresso base for South African’s favourite coffee beverage – cappuccino and latte. On its own it is also a favourite for its deep, rich flavour with soft undertones, a prominent characteristic of East African beans.
The roasting process is linked to automated roast profiles which maintains roast consistency and uncompromising quality in each batch of coffee beans that is produced. The strong emphasis that is placed on the quality and taste of our coffee beans ensures that each cup of coffee that our coffee cafés serve is crafted to perfection.

As with everything else that we do, the items and preparation of the food on Barista Café’s menu contribute to that overall experience of gratification that frequenting our cafés offer.
Being constantly aware of our clientele’s dietary needs, we are able to carefully compile our menu so that it offers everything that our discerning guests may require, but without making it complicated or overwhelming.
We cater for breakfast, brunch and lunch, and in particular for craving-for-delectable-delight moments with our superior cakes and confectionery. We make seasonal adjustments to our menu so that we are able to offer only the freshest of what is available at any given time.

This pleasing (and much talked about!) interior design finds its inspiration in New York’s trendy coffee cafés, often having built-in industrial features due to the nature of many of the buildings, strikingly supplemented with copper design elements, especially lights and light fittings. Also noticeable are sizeable blackboards with menu item information and what could best be described as quirky coffee café art.
To bring this home, The Barista Café has merged the flair of the New York coffee café ambiance with the distinctive down-to-earth appeal of South Africa’s own Karoo, using rugged wood finishes, soft color's, and elements from nature that are distinctive to this part of the world. This combination creates a welcoming space where patrons can expect hints of upmarket Big Apple urbanism, combined with the richness and tranquility of the Barista.
Added to this, are contemporary tables and chairs and well-equipped work areas for laptop users. Also expect lavishly-furnished seating areas with cushioned couches (some refer to them as loveseats …) and armchairs for lingering me-time breathers, or homely corners to catch up with friends.
